I have written a short description for each song below.
Missin' You- This song is about a relationship that I took for granted. It was the first time, in a long time, I felt really loved. I just didn't know how to handle it. At that time, about 20 years ago, I had recently been through a heart break. I just wasn't ready for the real thing...I guess. It took me this long to say I'm sorry to this person. She knows who she is, and I hope this song means as much to her, as it does to me. I wish her the very best life has to offer.
Changes- I've experienced a range of emotions in my life. They've varied from pride to pain. Changes tells the story of how I chose to embrace all of those experiences and emotions. You, as the listener, will experience a change within the song. I start out singing and my son, Ayden, finishes it. This song is a true passing of the baton for me. Ayden's vocals ring clear and true and still bring tears to my eyes. He wrote the hook and riff himself. I couldn't me more proud of him or of this song. I love you Ayden. When it comes time for me to sing my last note on this earth, you will always have this song, and the experience of recording it, as a memory of our time together as father and son.
Off The Ground- This song is just a fun, upbeat, toe-tapping, maybe even knee slapping tune. It's about that feeling you get when you are blown away by someone's beauty. It's only happened a few times to me in my life. However, there have been those times when I've met or seen someone so beautiful, I felt like I was literally knocked off my feet. My feet just came...well, off the ground.
